Coffee + <3
Today I went for a run and decided to take a different route to end at Philz Coffee on 24th and Folsom.
I went to Philz Coffee more than a year ago, when I was living on King St, here in San Francisco.
After my run, arrived at the coffee shop and entered in the big line and waited for my turn. The lady at the register was preparing a bagel or something similar and I waited patiently. Understandable.
Then she looked at me to take my order. I ordered a double espresso.
- Did you order it there at the end?
- Hum...no
- You have to order there first, then take the line back there
- Oh! Sorry! But I didn't cut the line, I took the long line back there and waited for my turn. Can you charge me and then I get the coffee there?
She said that I should go there first, order the coffee, get in the line *again* and then pay.
My friends, I didn't cut the line. I told her. No, I didn't understand their system, but in my opinion should be reasonable to just charge me at the counter and then give me my espresso at some point.
She tried to be nice and said that the line doesn't take that long. Even went to the coffee area to show me where I should order it.
But no, thanks. There is no need to take the line again since I have taken the line at the end. Wouldn't be fair if I had cut the line, but it was not the case (and would probably never happen anyways).
Bye. So long. Tchau.
Back to Ritual with heart.
